Vehicle: 2008 Volkswagen Eos lux 2.0L, L4, MFI, DOHC, Eng Desg BPY Mileage:115,029 Customer Concern:The driver's seat does not recline. Tests: 1. Check the wiring and connector to the power seat switch assembly and to the Driver's Entry Assistance Control Module J572. Check for any signs of damage, moisture, corrosion, etc. 2. With a factory compatible scan tool, check to see if the Driver's Backrest Adjustment Switch E96 is being recognized. A. Select Address Word 63-Entry Assist Driver. B. Select Function 08-Read Measuring Value Block (MVB). C. Enter Display Group 005. The 1st field should change as the seat height, inclination and seat back adjustment buttons are operated. 3.
